Adorable Pair Victorian Antique Prints Pictures Girls Playing With Doll vintage-vie Store ADORABLE PAIR VICTORIAN ANTIQUE PRINTS PICTURES GIRLS PLAYING WITH DOLL Search Beautiful pair of antique Victorian prints each showing three little girls playing with a doll The composition and colouring of the prints is gorgeous and shows the same three little girls a couple of years older in the second print. They are playing with a doll in both pictures and these are very much "chocolate box" type of compositions. I have been unable to identify the artist - the initial monogram changes slightly between the two prints, but I think it is MPG The prints are made on board which is cut round and then I presume glued to the mount; the colours are good and true and I cannot see any fading (there is some reflection of me taking photos in glass but photos all taken in natural light without flash) The actual prints measure approx. 19.5cm x 24cm. They look to be nice and clean although there are some specks here and there on the mounts. Frames look to be same age as prints but I think the tape on the back has been replaced at some point as it looks slightly "newer" than the frames and prints. The frames are approx. 33cm x 38xm and approx. 6cm deep. They are wooden, maybe oak, with an inner (now worn) silver painted rim. I think the glass is original too, I can see some tiny bubbles/imperfections in it. POSTAGE: Due to the size and weight of this item, it can only be sent by courier.
